The summer 2024 campaign is all about drama and urgency. The vibrant Maltese summer is always the season of fun and enjoyment. People are out at parties, BBQs, festas and social gatherings during which excessive drinking is not uncommon.
The campaign hones in on drink driving and aims underline the fact that people might underestimate the effects of excessive alcohol consumption. They seem to forget that in instant, the excitement can turn into tragedy, that their lives can be turn upside down with devastating consequences. For this reason, the message is simple yet powerful – Arrive Alive, do not drink and drive!
To further strenghten the message, a video was produced which projects the drama and chilling instances during a car crash.
Recreating the scenario in a controlled environment was distressing and gruesome in itself – Just imagine it happening in total chaos at full speed!
A word of appreciation goes to the Malta Police Force for the support during the filming process.
The campaign is also supported by a series of Eye Openers which highlight the danger, recklessness and thoughtlessness of driving drunk.
